Best of Ready. Aim. Empire: Meet Tara Gregorio – From Studio Owner to Online Course Creator

Today, we’re talking about building a business focusing on pelvic floors. (You didn’t see that coming, did you?)

Apart from chatting about pelvic floors (although I think you’ll find that part of the episode extremely insightful!), we also dive into how structuring programs into a signature series can be the catalyst for a total business model overhaul.

Today we’re revisiting Tara Gregorio! Tara is a Pilates industry vet and a former successful studio owner.

That’s right; I said former…

After building her studio to great success by transitioning from class packs to memberships to offering pelvic floor workshops that paved the way to her signature series, Tara is now riding the wave of her next evolution in entrepreneurship: as an online program creator.

With this transition, Tara is taking her life and business freedom to a whole new level by removing the responsibility of a brick-and-mortar business and beginning to build her presence 100 percent online.

Her story is not just inspiring; it’s a testament in what can you create when you can focus on the big-picture vision while building your foundation brick by brick…

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • How Tara started her career and had the foresight to build her education around her dream job
  • The concept that she has recently been introduced to {and I believe strongly in} that has changed everything for her business
  • Why conversations about the pelvic floor are so taboo
  • How Tara identifies the signs of a tight pelvic floor {and a weak pelvic floor}
  • The way she was able to take the pelvic floor work she was doing with her clients and create deeper conversation and awareness through developing her signature series
  • How having the right mindset allows you to push through the fear toward action
  • Why Tara decided to close her successful studio to be more intentional with her life and prioritize her family

Best of Ready. Aim. Empire: Rebranding 101 – 5 Lessons I Learned Rebranding Our Business

Between your websites, words, widgets, pictures, pages, and pixels, it’s easy to see why rebranding can make you want to chuck your laptop out the window and run off to Peru.

This week on a special throwback edition of Ready. Aim. Empire. I’ll be walking you through the website buildout process we underwent when rebranding Studio Grow. You’ll get the full bird’s-eye view and how to plan and prep for a proper website development process (yes, even if you’re doing it 100% or 50% DIY).

If you’re in need of a digital home that parallels the beauty of your brick-and-mortar space, or if you’ve made some shifts in your services and it’s time for a rebrand, or if you’re simply sick and tired of literally breaking your site by doing some seemingly harmless tinkering, you’re going to want to give this one a listen.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • Why you need to have a website and all of the most essential elements it needs to have
  • What a rebrand really involves and why hiring the right people will get you going in the right direction
  • Tips on how to get started with your rebrand {depending on your level of anticipated business} and choose the right platform for you
  • The one hard and fast rule in website etiquette and the one thing every website has to have
  • Why it’s all about the photos plus my thoughts on hiring a copywriter, and how to choose one that aligns with you and your branding

Best of Ready. Aim. Empire: John Marcoux – Mindfulness for the Adversarial Mind

Running a business forces you to get real about personal development. And fast.

It’s a process of self-refinement, courage, and vulnerability, all of which require some serious mindset work as we battle insecurities and slay our inner demons.

And it’s always a process.

That’s why I dug up one of my favorite episodes from the Ready. Aim. Empire archive: Maura Vella, hosting the show with an equally incredible guest who also happens to be her business partner and mentor.

John Marcoux is the founder and owner of 105F, a yoga, Pilates and mindfulness studio in Chicago, but in addition to the studio space, John has also carved out a career in speaking on the power of positivity and mindfulness for the adversarial mind.

This episode is a heavy hitter, so find yourself a quiet space, let yourself be fully present and open to what John has to share because it may just change not only your business but also your life.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • How John’s attendance at his first hot yoga class changed the course of his career
  • What is an adversarial trap and three cognitive boosters you can use to avoid them
  • John’s thoughts on misdirected or chronic pessimism and the three catastrophic pessimisms you need to tune into
  • The true meaning of leadership and choice and how they play a role specifically in the world of studio ownership
  • How to use your character and signature strengths to your advantage to impact the quality of your life, your work, and what you bring to your community
