Podcast Episode 31: Don’t Go Into 2017 Clueless: 5 Steps To Take Your Business Exactly Where You Want To Go

You’re able to build a certain lifestyle when you have systems in your business that maximize your time. It allows your business to grow itself.

So why not set yourself for success coming up in this next year?

Planning and goal setting is something that I absolutely LOVE to do and it generally happens all throughout the year.

But during Q4, probably the fact that New Year’s is around the corner, it feels so right to tie up loose ends and start to plan for another incredible year!

I’ve got my darling friend {and fellow margarita mama} Amber McCue on the podcast today.

She owns a boudoir photography business, Three Boudoir, and an online business to help business owners scale and grow called Nice Ops.

Amber’s first step to take your business exactly to where you want to go is to do what you love AND follow the money.

If you want to turn your hobby into a business, you’ve got to go where the money is.

In Episode 031, you’ll not only learn the other 4 steps, but also

  • Learn how setting goals and milestones pushes you forward
  • Why scenario testing helps you reach your goals
  • Learn how you can gain from creating a time budget

Podcast Episode 29: A Case Study in Raising Your Prices {and Tripling Your Average Client Monthly Value in 4 Weeks}

Before you get the cold sweats from this topic, I really want you to understand something.

Everyone has fears around this topic. Everyone.

It’s hard to raise your prices and think that you won’t lose 50% of your clients.

However, if you communicate your rates on a personalized basis and move forward with it, you will be able to retain a huge percentage of your business.

I have a special guest on this episode of the podcast, Erin Haag of Pilates of Palm Beach, who shares her experience with raising her rates. {P.S. – she retained 98% of her clients}

In Episode 029, you’ll learn:

  • Why potential clients tend to look at your highest price and then compare your other price points to that
  • What is a reasonable time point to roll out price increases
  • What is two-tier pricing?
  • Mass emails create mass hysteria
  • How to plan rolling out price change to your clients
  • The difference between rolling out price changes in an automated manner versus doing it personally to each client
  • Why it is important to be clear and scripted while rolling out new pricing

Podcast Episode 28: Why Making the Shift From Single Sessions to Recurring Revenue Packages WILL Change Your Life

There is a huge difference between sessions and packages.

Don’t get me wrong, they both have their place in a service-based business, however, packages will have you exceeding your revenue goals in no time.

Sessions are where most people start out because it’s familiar to our previous jobs where we were paid by how many hours we worked.

My goal is to separate you from that hourly rate because you are worth so much more than that.

Session-based model is a very low-commitment offer for your customers as they only have to buy what they need when they need it. It leaves them in control of knowing how many sessions they may need.

Also, you know that you will hit a cap. You won’t have anymore hours to sell.

Package-based model is a comprehensive service that meets the real needs of clients. There are reduced rates for financial commitment to the action plan.

Want to get into more of the nitty gritty of these two models?

Listen into episode 028 and you’ll learn –

  • What are the two major models for service-based businesses
  • How important recurring revenue is to financial freedom
  • Why session-based models being the best source of revenue is a really a myth
  • How you may be projecting your own fears about your business on to your clients
  • That you could actually be doing your clients a disservice by telling them it is acceptable to lack commitment
  • Why it is important to separate yourself from your client when building packages to offer
  • How to determine the formula for your average client monthly value
  • When transferring your client from session-based offers to package-based, you need to remember three key things
