Jackie Short and Decoding Facebook Ads

Y’all, I’m super excited about this new series!

So, earlier this year, Studio Grow held a free Masterclass training series where we invited some of the best experts and top studio owners in the business to share their knowledge with our audience.

And let me tell you, ALL three webinars in the series were pure gold.

The experts and studio owners knocked it out of the park with their advice and each second was jam-packed with boutique fitness goodness.

And I knew I needed to share them with our Ready.Aim.Empire listeners!

So, for the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing our Masterclass webinars with all of you so you can walk away with incredible nuggets of wisdom that you can implement in your businesses ASAP!

And we’re starting with a good one.

In this first episode of our Masterclass series, I’m chatting with Jackie, our resident Facebook Ads expert!

Jackie now works in Digital Marketing full time, but has deep roots in the fitness industry. She spent 20 years (!!) in the industry as a studio manager, personal trainer, and Independent Contractor before she got into digital marketing.

So, not only does she know a thing or two about Facebook Ad strategy, but she also has a deep understanding of fitness – a win-win for us!

In this episode, Jackie takes us through the new iOS update (and why it’s not as bad as you think), lead form vs conversion ads (including what they are and which one you should be paying attention to), the importance of addressing your audience’s pain points in your ads, how to make the most of your Ads Strategy (even if you don’t have a lot of $$$ to spend), how to ‘think like an influencer’ (even if it’s not your forte) and so much more!

Y’all, Jackie is truly a master at what she does and getting all of her expertise for free is a BIG deal, so make sure you’re taking notes!

In this episode, you will learn:

  • Jackie’s background in the fitness industry and how she transitioned to helping other professionals with email and Facebook ads
  • What to consider with lead generation ads versus conversion ads
  • How to really build an audience that knows, likes, and trusts you, using Facebook ads
  • The way to know which type of ad to use, depending on your main goal or objective
  • Why Facebook is like a Las Vegas Casino

With grit and gratitude,

Lisé

Best of Ready.Aim.Empire: All About Branding

Earlier this year, we aired a series of episodes titled ‘How would I start all over again’.

The concept of the series was simple – post-pandemic, a lot of studio owners have had to drastically change their businesses.

So, I aimed to answer ONE big, 2021 question:

If I had to go back and start my business again in 2021, how would I do it?

And in this throwback episode, I’m bringing back probably THE most important part of this series.

Today, I want us to think about branding again.

Y’all, my mother was a successful entrepreneur for decades.

And when I look back at how her businesses succeeded in industries where she had all odds stacked against her (in the 80s no less!), it was because her branding was so on point, that it almost didn’t matter to the men in the industry that there was a woman in the CEO’s office.

So, in this throwback episode, I break down all things branding and why it should be on the top of your priority list too. I talk about how to create a perfect brand guide (and why it’s so important), why I’m obsessed with content calendars, and why you should add ‘Chief Marketing Officer’ to your title ASAP.

In this episode you will learn:

  • The big lesson I learned from my mother about the power of a brand
  • The new job title I would use if I were starting over growing a studio
  • What our branding process in 2017 looked like, and how look it took to complete
  • The importance of a brand guide and the impact ours had on the results of our branding
  • A big mistake a lot of studio owners make when branding that I want you to avoid at all costs
  • Why I want you to get exceptional with your content calendar, and how our team does this

With grit and gratitude,

Lisé

Best Of Ready.Aim.Empire: Pivot Like Peloton

Peloton really exploded in 2020.

Not only did they rise to become one of the biggest players in fitness, they also found a steadfast place in people’s homes.

And their reign shows no signs of slowing down.

But, they had to massively pivot to get there.

Last year, I dedicated an entire episode to examining Peloton’s rise (especially after that infamous commercial hit the web in 2019) and studying the pivots they used to get to the top.

And now, almost a year later, I STILL think we have a lot to learn from Peloton’s story!

So, in this throwback episode, join me as I dissect the details of Peloton’s 2019 fall from grace, their current unprecedented success, and the 8 things they did to make that leap.

Y’all, I’m bringing this episode back to remind us that growing, pivoting, innovating, and creating is the ONLY way to survive as a post-pandemic boutique fitness owner!

In this episode, you will learn:

  • The one thing that Peloton focused on compared to their competitors that made all the difference
  • Why their non-traditional real estate strategy has been so effective
  • How they meet their clients at home by using the right platform to engage them
  • What Peloton’s standardized professional experience and referral strategy looks like
  • Why understanding the difference between marketing and advertising is key

Best of Ready.Aim.Empire: The Quarantine State of Mind

When I look at the world around me,  I see that we’re gradually moving into a realm of normalcy, especially with the steady roll out of vaccinations and the new mask laws.

So, I wanted to bring back this episode where I share my thoughts (and advice from mental health professionals) to make sure we’re getting to the other side with the right mindset!

In today’s throwback episode, join me as I talk about why quarantine anxiety is normal, your duty towards your body, the benefits of immersion therapy, how to take care of yourself and much more.

Let’s step into a healthier state of mind together!

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • That anxiety is normal
  • What healthy anxiety for studio owners looks like
  • How people will walk back through your doors again
  • What we can do to manage our response to uncertainty {while taking care of ourselves and supporting each other}
