Podcast Episode 23: The 8 Questions You Need To Ask Before Starting Your Next Challenge

Just this year, I sold 4 of my extremely profitable businesses for multiple 7 figures.

Our businesses generally made most of our revenue during certain months of the year.

Thankfully, we had really steady recurring revenue that kept us afloat all year around. Most of that revenue was build during our busiest months – January, February, March, October.

The rest of the year, we would see small amounts of growth or it would totally plateau.

I’m always thinking of ways to better my business – starting with the obvious, which is maxing out my busiest times. How can I be seen when my clients are looking for me?

But by last year, I was thinking we needed to max out our slow times this year.

We started with a challenge – I’d done them before, trying 8 weeks, 3 months
They ranged the time and the reasons behind why I produced a challenge.

Then my secret weapon came out – Myken Daeda who was the head of sales for my companies.

The idea was that we needed to engage our current members to bring in others in our community. This was not only a powerful outreach, but see some significant growth within our business.

We saw an amazing result from this just 6 weeks later. I’m talking $60,000 in additional revenue in one of the historically worst months of the year for us.

Listen in to episode 023 and you’ll learn:

  • How to maximize your business in the months of historically lower revenue
  • Why challenges are a great way for potential clients to get to know you and
  • your business
  • Why challenges are a good way to show your value
  • How challenges can give you more out of your marketing money

Podcast Episode 22: 7 Mindset Shifts You’ve Gotta Make To Build An Epic Empire

I was googling some stuff on entrepreneurial numbers. And what I came across first was astonishing.

Six percent of all entrepreneurs will actually reach 6 figures a year. Two percent will reach 7 figures; however, more than 50% will never breakthrough $25,000 a year.

That means that more than half of entrepreneurs won’t break past a poverty level mark.

All entrepreneurs are spending huge amounts of time while risking a ton of money and seeing little results.

So really what’s the difference between successful entrepreneurs and over half the businesses in the U.S.?

The one thing that kept ringing true is mindset.

I know you are probably rolling your eyes because that’s my first instinct too.

I didn’t experience real growth until I made some pretty major shifts.

When I started adjusting these mental blocks, my entire business started to open up! And I’m not the only one who has experienced this.

In Episode 022, you’ll learn:

  • That sometimes not accepting help can be a fatal flaw
  • The importance of recognizing menial tasks that do not directly move your business forward and how to delegate those tasks to others
  • How beneficial it can be to have a smaller, leaner team of employees
  • How to determine what tasks are the most important in your business
  • How to set boundaries for yourself when it comes to working within your business
  • How to learn to say “No”
  • Why it is a necessity to practice self-care as an entrepreneur
  • How to stay the course and take the slow and steady route
  • The importance of taking the time to hire and train employees to help you move forward

Podcast Episode 20: What on earth is a marketing funnel and how to do I use it?

I’ll be honest – I had no clue what a marketing funnel was just a few years ago.

I knew about marketing campaigns and marketing promotions, but this idea and concept of viewing my marketing as an overall funnel was something that was a little bit new.  A little bit different.

I’m going to define marketing funnels super clearly: an advertising effort or campaign that produces paying clients or qualified leads.

This is the dream setup that you’re wanting to build in your business if you want to ultimately have those perfect clients falling into your lap.

We’re keeping this very big picture.

There are multiple steps in a funnel.

It’s just like using a funnel to pour water into a bottle.

You’ll find it super similar to the design of a marketing funnel.

It’s meant to pour a large amount of something, in this case potential clients, into a small amount of something valuable…leads and clients.

There are probably the potential for dozens of funnels in your business.  You can have funnels for in the following 5 areas:

  1. Facebook or Google Ads that generate leads.
  2. Facebook or Google Ads that generate clients for specific programs.
  3. Email funnels once someone has shown interest.
  4. Email funnels once someone has become a client for retention.
  5. Email funnels once someone has become a client to encourage them into purchasing a new package.

I go into much more detail about the parts of each funnel as well as the education part of my sequence in Episode 020 so listen up!

Here’s what you’ll be learning:

  • What are funnels and what are the different types of them?
  • The different ways to layer funnels
  • The difference between paid marketing and funnels
  • The importance of the education and sales piece when considering a funnel
  • What is a landing page?
  • The difference between providing education and selling
  • The importance of having a referral process
