The Coach Takeover: Getting Organized

Today, I’m handing over the reins to some of my incredible coaches at Studio Grow!

I wanted you to hear from them because they’re truly the backbone and the beating heart of Studio Grow – not only are they driven, committed, and talented, they’re also successful studio owners themselves.

In this episode, we’ll be hearing from Michelle Tenuta!

As a studio owner herself, Michelle knows a thing or two about the daily overwhelm of an entrepreneur’s life. In her studio, Rising Goddess Fitness (a pole dance and aerial arts movement sanctuary in the Chicago suburbs), she used to spend her day on small tasks like putting out fires, dealing with customers, and helping her staff respond to emails and queries.

But, at the end of a long day, Michelle would look back and realize that though she had been busy, she got very little actually done throughout the day.

And that’s when she knew things had to change.

She spent most of last year investing time and energy into getting organized so she can prevent that overwhelm.

And today, she’ll be sharing her 5 top tips to get organized and show up as your best self! She’ll take you through Trello, the importance of having solid morning and night-time routines, some apps she uses to get a good night’s sleep, and more!

So take notes and don’t forget to tune in next week where another SG coach, Allison Zhang, takes over to talk all about hustling vs flowing.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • How to deal with the day-to-day overwhelm faced as a studio owner
  • Michelle’s lessons on how to get organized right now
  • 5 things she implemented this year that made a lasting impact on her ability to show up each day
  • Tips for owning a studio and being an entrepreneur in general
  • A look at Michelle’s favorite technology tools

With grit and gratitude,

Lisé

Finding the Stairway to Success in 2021

Even though things seem bleak right now, it’s important to try to look ahead and move forward, both in your personal life and for your business.

Yes, this year has been one of enormous change. We’ve lost friends and family, had to majorly pivot in our businesses, and suffered enough mental and physical health blows to last us a lifetime.

But if we truly want to find the stairway to success in the midst of 2021, we need to be sitting down and discussing our mental health, our response to loss, as well as the ramifications the Delta Variant is having on our businesses.

Which is why in this episode, I’ll be taking you through 6 things you WILL need to pay attention to in your business while preparing your studio for the variant. I’ve already talked about this in a previous Ready.Aim.Empire episode, but I figured you can never be too prepared.

This episode is the precursor to a longer, more detailed one coming next week about some industry-wide trends we’ve been seeing at Studio Grow and how we think the industry will be affected moving forward – in other words, it will be our 2021 ‘State of Studio’ report.

So make sure you take notes on everything I cover this week, they’ll come into play next week too!

In this episode, you will learn:

  • The “elephant in the room”, the Delta variant, and how studio owners should be approaching it
  • A look at cleaning protocols and why you should continue focusing on them moving forward
  • The current situation with masks, and how to clearly define when they are required in your studio
  • How to prepare for an uncomfortable few weeks in light of the new variants
  • What programs you should be offering for the time being
  • A few words of advice concerning vaccine mandates

With grit and gratitude,

Lisé

Kristen Westcott and Systemizing Your Onboarding Process (Part 2)

Last week, we spoke to the incredible Kristen Westcott (CEO of Kristen Westcott & Co) about creating systems, processes, and automations in your business to bring you back from the brink of burn out.

Today, we’re continuing that conversation to focus on one MAJORLY important thing that most studio owners drop the ball on – team training.

Because, having the right systems in place isn’t enough to keep your business running smoothly – you need to train new employees in your team so that they understand their role in your organization and know what they have to do on a nitty gritty level rather than just vague metrics on what they’re supposed to achieve.

In today’s episode, Kristen and I will be discussing the best way to onboard a new team member, how to make sure you’re updating your systems regularly, what to do if you’re “over systemized”, and more!

She’ll also be sharing her much-needed words of wisdom on how to survive and thrive in the rest of 2021 when you’re already burned out.

This episode is a gold mine for those of you who face trouble in onboarding new team members, making sure they understand your systems and their role in your business. So, make sure to take notes!

In this episode, you will learn:

  • Kristen’s words of wisdom on what systems to have in place for new hires
  • How to build protocols in your business for updating your systems
  • What to do when your systems are too complicated or complex
  • Her advice for approaching systems for the rest of the year, especially if you’re feeling burnt out

With grit and gratitude,

Lisé
